What is the detailed explanation for refund policy?

1. University Application Fee and SICAS Processing Fee

These two payments are never refundable under any circumstances

Reason: http://www.sicas.cn/Students/Info/Content_11062216344564.shtml

2. SICAS Plus Fee:

At the Admission Application Stage:

1000 USD is refundable if the Admission Status of the student is "Processing"or "Pending".

After you have made the “Plus Service Package” Payment to SICAS and signed the Agreement, it means that SICAS has an commitment to you and will guarantee that you will get the Admission according to the way that the agreement states. The fees can only be refunded if SICAS fails to fulfill the agreement in the end. Thus, even though you choose to terminate it at “Processing” or “Pending” stage, it is just the change of your personal decision, and it has nothing to do with the Guaranteed Fact that your Admission will been done regularly as that of others. Thus the Majority of the SICAS Plus Fee is non-refundable.

However, SICAS “Plus Service Package”, including Admission-Guaranteed & One Stop One for One Service, is provided by SICAS as a whole package. Thus, if you choose to terminate it when the Admission Status is "Processing"or "Pending", some follow-up service cannot be delivered. Therefore, 1000 USD is refundable.

The full amount of SICAS Plus Fee is refundable if Admission Status of the student is "Refused".

SICAS “Plus Service Package” is offered by SICAS with a Guaranteed Agreement. Therefore, if SICAS fails to get Admission Letter for you, the full amount will be refunded to you. Alternatively, SICAS will get the student admitted into another university of his/her choice.

No Amount is refundable after the Admission Status becomes "Accepted" or "Posting".

At this stage, even if the student claims that he/she gives up studying in China, SICAS cannot be sure whether he/she will or will not use the Admission Letter and Visa Form which have already been issued or posted for the student to come to China. If the student comes to China without the knowledge of SICAS, SICAS will be forced take full responsibility and bear legal liability for him/her within the territory of China. It is even possible that SICAS will be penalized by the Chinese government if the student misbehaves in China. On this ground, no SICAS Plus fee is refundable.

At the Visa Application Stage:

1000 USD is refundable if the student failed to get a visa after applying to the embassy for 3 times.

If the student cannot come to China due to three refusals from Chinese Embassy, SICAS will return 1000 USD to the student. In this case, a proof document issued by the embassy should be provided to prove that he/she has been refused for three times.  However, what should be noted is that after the first refusal, the student should inform SICAS at once and accept the “SICAS Visa-Application Training” via Skype Video/Audio Class. If the student is refused by Chinese Embassy for three times without taking a the training, no SICAS Plus Package fee is refundable.

No amount will be refundable if the student has been issued a Visa from China Embassy but decided not to come to China out of his/ her own choice.

At this stage, even if the student claims that he/she gives up studying in China, SICAS cannot be sure whether he/she will come to China or not. If the student does this without SICAS’s knowledge, SICAS still have to take full responsibility and bear legal liability for him/her within the territory of China. It is even possible that SICAS will be penalized by the Chinese government if the student misbehaves in China. On this ground, no SICAS Plus fee is refundable.

At the Arrival Stage:

No amount will be refundable if the student has landed in China.

SICAS “Plus Service Package” is provided as a whole package. Once the student lands in China, whether he/she wants or not, SICAS still have to take full responsibility and bear legal liability for him/her within the territory of China. It is even possible that SICAS will be penalized by the Chinese government if the student misbehaves in China. On this ground, no SICAS Plus fee is refundable.
